How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has tremendously improved in that, I own livestock that I hope to be a source of my livelihood in the near future. In the past, I never had any asset I could sell in order to get income to meet my needs like medical.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my observation, GiveDirectly has done very well by giving me the unconditional transfer that provided me with livestock. However, all the things that GiveDirectly has done so far are inch perfect according to me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have not yet spent my second transfer, but I'm planning to spend it on livestock.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my standard of living has improved because I now sleep on a comfortable mattress. Before, I used to sleep on pieces of mattresses which did not look conducive.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my first cash transfer, it was the best joy I ever had in my life because the money had helped me establish an Income generating activity in form of the cows that I own now.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my cash transfer for purchasing beddings worth UGX 225,000, I bought clothes for my children and myself worth UGX 130,000. I bought two cows worth UGX 1,200,000. I spent UGX 25,000 for buying food items for my household. The balance of UGX 120,000, Intend to spend it in the future to take care of maternity expenses since I am pregnant.

The happiest part of my day is after lunch because it means that day is well spent .
