What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on completion of building a 3 room house since we used to live in a leaking grass-thatched house. I then bought seats for 15,000 KES since we only had 2 small chairs . I also bought a heifer that is just about to calve and we can take white tea as a family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my view GD has created real and visible impact in the village as a whole.I do not think there is anything that GD does not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my family status improved a great deal from grass-thatched to iron-roofed house, and from just admiring livestock from afar and finally having one of our own cattle.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy a metallic box and a bag for keeping family clothes. Bought 20 pieces of iron sheets which I'll use to build an iron roofed house since I'm still living in a leaking grass thatched house. Purchased water containers and cooking utensils. Purchased family clothes with a portion of the transfer. Besides, I bought family foodstuffs with the rest of the transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I felt satisfied in one go. Imagine my family was almost going without food and I had no money to purchase any stuff. When I got the message and opened it, all the hunger disappeared and got re-energized.
