What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying building materials that I used to build a new house in my own compound.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by giving money to the poor and letting them decide what to do with it instead of deciding for them. I have not seen anything they have not done well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different is different in that I could still be longing for a house. I could have never owned one in my own compound that soon.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchasing new beddings since the previous ones were old, I also bought more seats and used part of the amount on purchasing 25 pieces of iron sheets with an intention of constructing my homestead.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I was overwhelmed with joy. I felt like screaming because I had never received such a lumpsum amount of money in my life.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced is staying uncomfortable life in a leaking thatched house with my bigger family. Providing enough food to my family has also been a great challenge due to lack of funds in my life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy in the evening because this is the time I reunite with my family hence reduces for a lot of stress.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money has opened another chapter in my life because I will be able to purchase building materials to built a better house than the one I currently stay in. I will also invest in business to sustain my family upon receiving the amount.
