Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The most significant change is that I have paid off the loan that was overburdening me for over four years. I was on the verge of losing our farm land because of the loan. I feel empowered after paying part of my dowry.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The money was sent to my phone early in the week.I felt very happy that day when I confirmed that the money was indeed from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to pay loans worth UGX1100000 and UGX200000 to purchase utensils and clothes. I gave my inlaws UGX400000 to support them.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will mean that I can build an iron roofed house. It has been very expensive for me renovating the thatched house I currently stay in.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is inadequate money to raise a better structure to sleep in. I don't have any reliable source of income hence this has forced me to sleep in a leaking house for long time now.
