Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new goal for the next four months at the moment since I am planning to expand my farming. My main aim is to increase the acreage and adopt better farming practices. I am aiming to make sure that I make timely farm preparation, use quality seeds and increase the size of land under cultivation. I believe that by doing this, the yields will increase and I will be able to earn more after selling the produce.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I was able to start the business of buying and selling cows two months ago using the money I had been saving every month from the transfers I have been receiving. Due to this, I have been able to use the profits to support my parents and siblings. As a result of this, my family is now united more unlike before. The bond between my siblings and I has grown stronger since I can now manage to buy them the required school necessities on time. My parents are equally happy as they can now concentrate on paying school fees while I help them meet some of the basic needs that do not require a lot of money. All this would not have been possible had it not have been for GiveDirectlys transfers that enabled me to start this business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My dream has always been to own a motorcycle but I have not been able to achieve this due to lack of money. Due to this, I am planning to start saving towards achieving this dream. In the next six months, I expect that my life will have changed in that I will have sold some of my farm produce. I will use this income to expand my current business so that the profit margin will increase. I will be saving part of this profit so that I will later use it to purchase a motorcycle. With this, my life will be transforming continuously as I will look for one of the youths in our area to operate it. It will also help me to have a continuous source of income.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different because I have livestock of my own that am raising on my father's land. This is a good investment, in which it will keep and grow my money. I bought one recently and owning it means that in the next two years, I will be able to sell a mature bull and make more money, I will use this to buy a dairy cow and become a milk producer. Having these transfers have also enabled me to save in a merry go round group. This is a good saving plan because it encourages me to save for future investments
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal is to buy a motorcycle and start a taxi business. I will use the money I have been saving from farming to buy it. This will be a good source of income that is not as labor intensive as in working for little wages in other people farms.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is about the way I do farming. Unlike before, I get access to farm inputs especially the pesticides and fungicides that must be applied precisely on time. This has helped me to properly undertake the necessary farm operations that are required without having to borrow money or do hard labor jobs. I even get more time to tend to the crops unlike before when I would be forced to work most of the times on other peoples farms to get some little. The potato crop that I harvested recently gave me good proceeds. I saved some of the money and used a part of it to buy bean seed that is currently doing do well. I have already bought the necessary inputs for this season. I am a very efficient and productive farmer currently.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next months because I will be having a motorcycle taxi business. I will be earning more everyday unlike currently where I have to work and wait for crops to mature in order to earn from the sales. I will have a more regular source of income.
