What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on completion of construction and plastering of my 3 room house which I started building using my second transfer.Housing was important to me since my previous house was grass-thatched and used to leak too much.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to cement, sand, sand which I have used to renovate my house from mud to plastered. I bought food for my laborers, paid laborers who were renovating my house and those who fetched water for use. I bought a sack of maize for consumption and the remaining amount, I spent to buy shoes for my children, food and other household items which I did not have.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I no-longer have to smear my house with cowdung and also I have maize for grinding. Thank you GD for the transfer.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my first transfer on buying a bag and a half of maize for my households consumption purposes 6,600 KES .I also bought a water tank 2,800 KES .I also bought school uniform and school shoes 2000 KES for my three children respectively.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Its was in evening while I was resting in my house and I saw a message popping in my phone, on checking it out it was a message verifying to me that I had truly received my first transfer from GiveDirectly , I was very happy and on that night I had sleepless night waiting for the next morning to come so that I can start using the money since by then I had alot of work in my plate which needed money.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I have faced is educating my children since my spouse died ten years ago and I have been straggling to educate them singlehandedly.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening when I have closed my business and my children are back from school and we are having meal together.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will greatly help me to expand my business because I will be in position to bring more stock and the people of Arude village will not be travelling to Bondo town to buy goods.
