After achieving all the plans I had, I now have a goal of building a chicken coop. This will also allow me to sell the eggs I get and earn an income. I am saving from what I get from my playing pool business towards purchasing construction materials and the chicken.

For the longest time possible had wished to open the business after doing market research within a nearby shopping center. I am happy that it is doing well and I am getting profits which enables me to cater for my household bills.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am currently in the process of building a more spacious iron-roofed house for my family. Upon its completion, my status in our society will be elevated as I will be at a bar with other people. Also, my family will no longer be undergoing so much stress, especially during the rainy season as we will not have to worry about being rained on due to the leaking roof. I always feel happy and at peace when I remember that what we're currently facing is for a short while.

I live in a grass-thatched house and the roof needs to be changed every two years to avoid it from leaking. Of late, getting grass to use in thatching the house has become a problem since most people have ventured into livestock keeping and due to this, my house had started leaking during the rainy season as I had not been able to replace the roof. Because of this, we have always had to move our items from one place to another to prevent them from being rained on. On receiving my transfer, I decided to spend KES 11000 on foodstuffs to last us for some time and some clothes for my children, KES 4000 to buy some timber and I am planning to use the remaining amount to buy other building materials like iron sheets, nails and pay for the labor.
