How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
For those months, my children had the chance of staying in school due to the payment of school fees on time. I saved the transfers and paid the school fees arrears for them and they were never sent home for the whole of that term. I am also managed to venture into poultry farming to help in securing finances for the family. Paying the casual workers to work in my farm brought forth good harvest which I expect should last us through to the next season as we now have plenty of food to eat and surplus to sell to earn us income. My house is also in a good state as I managed to buy building materials like sand and cement using the transfers and plastered my house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of venturing into farming tomatoes to help in the generation of income for the family. They take a small period of time to be ready and that can earn my family easy income which can be invested in other family businesses to raise income towards changing our lifestyle as a family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily is the ability to pay casual workers to work on my farm. I have very big pieces of land that require extra manpower to help plough, cultivate and also harvest. My family depends solely on farming for our daily provision. We sell the surplus to get income for our upkeep and also use some for our daily consumption. Previously, I would toil on my farms the whole day and end up not cultivating the entire farm, this always led to the loss of crops because of the weeds which meant little to no proceeds.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to save and add more poultry to help boost my chicken rearing business which is the main source of income for my family. By the end of the six months, I shall have ventured into tomato farming to help in quick generation of income for the family.
