Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Since I majorly depend on my potato business for livelihood, I am still working hard to stabilize it by adding more stock, thus I would say so far I do not have any new or additional income yet. I thought of stocking it to enable me to get a good profit, which will enable me to pay fees for my children and other basics needs with ease.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before I started receiving money from Give Directly, I have been staying a miserable life after the death of my husband because I have five children to take care of and at times the kind of business I indulge in, the daily sales are low due to less stock. When I started receiving money from Give Directly, I managed to boost my business thus life has really changed beginning from how we eat, how we dress and also I managed to buy new beddings. I am not afraid to say that we had no beddings before in that my children and I were sleeping on rugs which is not the case today, hence this is my biggest difference.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have saved the little profit I get from my potatoes business. Thus in the next six month am planning to buy a goat which will act as financial security. I choose to rear goats because they multiply very fast and I can also sell the siblings once I have any financial crisis like school fees.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I recently got my share from the merry-go-round group that I usually save some of my transfers on which I used to buy a bed. I did not have a bed and have always been laying my mattress on a mat on the floor which made it dump and would be very cold at night. It is a good feeling because now I feel like I am making progress in life, and I am even more happy that I am now safe from the risk of catching any cold-related diseases.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
When I moved into a rented place, I had no household items because I was not allowed to carry anything from my former house. I have not yet managed to buy most items especially furniture which I would love to buy as my house is currently very empty. My main aim is to save and buy a table and seats because I only have a stool and nothing else at the moment.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Being that I am a single parent, it is usually tough providing for my family especially now that I am living in a rented place after my in-laws chased me away after the death of my husband early last year. With the transfers I have been receiving, life is a bit easy because I managed to start a business which I boost every month when I receive the transfers. This business has been my main source of income and takes care of all my needs making it quite vulnerable and at risk of collapsing because I take a lot from it, but because of the transfers, it has been growing because I boost it every month with the transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Currently, my house is empty because I have only one chair. I hope to save more of the transfers I will be receiving and other earnings I get from my business and buy seats. I hope that by next year, my house will not be as empty as it is now and I will not shy from welcoming visitors into my house for because of shame of lack of a place to sit.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that I am always stress-free. My hope is restored ever since I started getting my monthly payment. I don't overwork myself by doing odd jobs just to make ends meet just because I started my business using the transfers. I now enjoy the profits of this business. As a widow, this is basically what supports my family. I am glad that I don't have to depend on odd jobs from other people or beg from friends and families members in order to achieve my goals or take care of our daily needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy a bed. Currently, I am sleeping on the floor and I fear for my children and I might get chest problems because of the colds nights which are usually worsened by the cold floor. Sleeping on the floor is also uncomfortable since one usually ends up with backaches. I am also planning to buy seats. We normally sit on jerrycans and I always feel ashamed whenever visitors come to my place.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I feel at peace. I have been able to take care of my pressing needs as a widow. Since my husband passed on towards the end of last year, life has been very difficult but I had taken the bull to its horns. I had to prepare myself to take care of my family alone and so I decided to boost my business using transfers since I knew that this was a great idea that could sustain my family for a long time. This has brought change because I get more profits that I help me to take care of my needs and run my family effectively.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have bought a bed and seats. I will not be prone to chest problems which someone can easily get when sleeping down on the cold floor. I will also not be ashamed of allowing visitors to come over when I have decent seats. Currently, I only have jerrycans which we sit on.
