How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My children were recently sent home from school because I did not have enough money to pay their school fees. I have started my building project also but couldn't continue due to limited finances. Hence, when I received my recent transfer, I bought enough building materials to continue my house project. Furthermore, portion of my transfer was used to pay my children balance school fees for the entire school year.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly unique method of delivering cash to poor people like us is incredible. I consider it a privilege to be part of this program. My life has changed completely and I see nothing that GD is not doing quite well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My primary objective at the moment is to see my children attend school regularly. I had also been hoping for enough money to complete my house project. Therefore, when I received my transfer, I used a very huge portion to pay my children balance school fees for the academic year. Additionally, the balance portion of my transfer was used to buy zinc and nails for the completion of my new house. I am blessed to be part of this unique project.
