How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a lot of independence in my family compared to the situation before. I no longer ask for every item from my husband because, I am operating my small business that gives me some small income in order to sustain our family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through their proper selection criteria of the needy people in the village and channeling such support as cash direct to them through mobile money. I do not see what they have failed to do.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 1,400,000 for paying school fees for our children and the balance of UGX 233,000, I spent it on starting a small scale business in order to be able to sustain my business in the future.
