What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a a portion of the transfer to pay my daughter in high school fee. I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm now on my feet. I was so sick and no one was willing to take me to hospital. In fact I was left for dead.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it doesn't rely on community gate keepers to identify their beneficiaries.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent mos of my second transfer to buy sand, cement and ballst which I have used to renovate my house form mud too plastered. I hired an ox-drawn plough to cultivate my land ready for planting and also paid laborers who were renovating my house
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I sleep in a clean house and can also afford to seek medical attention without asking anybody for help. Thank you GD.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on treatment for myself (3,500 KES), purchase of 1 bag of dry maize grain for food (3,700 KES) and the rest I am using to buy food a little at a time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I jumped up and down with joy in spite of my old age because I was now in a position to pay for treatment for my painful joints and also get enough food to eat.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for two of the children under my care, I also intend to start a small business of fish mongering and use the remaining amount to buy ploughing machine and seeds.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of was few years back when I used to sell fish which enabled me to educate one of the child under my care through secondary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship in my life is that of paying school fees for the children under my care, I was never blessed with a child of my own and that's way I'm happy to help the orphans.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when I'm done with day's activities and resting in the house.
