I am the happiest person since GiveDirectly's transfers changed my life acquiring dairy cows I couldn't afford to buy due to low income selling my farm produce is my major occupation is farming . With the dairy cow, I will benefit from the milk that its production shall be in large scale . Then use some and sell the rest in order to earn income hence provision of my family's needs will no longer be a struggle like before. Secondly, I was able to pay school fees for my children on time which enable me to gain peace of mind and happiest that was driven by an assuarity of my children attendance to school would be consistent .

GiveDirectly did well through uplifting the living standards for the in our society especially the poor and the old . Its evident that the beneficiaries spent their transfers wisely by building new houses, starting small business and up scaling their farming practices. Personally,I do not see what GiveDirectly did wrong at their work.

I spent the larger part of my second transfer to buy dairy to increase the number to three because my vision is to double my sales from the added litters of milk ,therefore, raising my earning to accommodate most of my family's need since it is my livelihood . I bought food for my family consumption 10, 000 KES. The remaining I have saved to pay school fees of my child for the next term.

I majorly depend on farming as a source of income for my family. I practice mixed farming to increase the returns and it is always my happiness and desire to see my farming expand and do better. Even though I struggle to inject some resources to improve this, my daily household needs had taken much of the resources until whatever I put into farming was never felt enough. Ever since I received my transfer, I feel my life has greatly changed. I bought a dairy cow and goats to add to my livestock. This is the biggest difference in my daily life since I have added assets that will soon reproduce. I feel that I have security to lean on during a financial crisis and soon will have more milk to sell thus will have a higher income. I will be using this income to pay for my children's education and to meet some of our needs.

It was still very early in the morning when I received a message notification on my phone. Since I was awake at that time, I decided to read it and know who would have sent me a message at that time. I became so happy after realizing that GiveDirectly had sent us the promised money. I woke up my spouse and informed him of the good news that had just come in.

As a farmer, it is always my wish to see my farming doing better and due to this, I took part of my transfer to buy a dairy cow to add to the one I had. I settled on this so that when it reproduces, I will be able to sell more milk to earn a higher income. Also, I bought two goats for rearing. We decided on this since they have a shorter gestation period hence they will increase in number quickly. They are also assets that I can easily sell in case of a financial crisis. I bought a cupboard, a table and two three-seater seats. We did not have these items thus I used to borrow seats whenever I had visitors a habit that I had felt ashamed of. I used to store my utensils in a carton box hence could get damaged easily. I am happy that this habit has now stopped and my utensils are save in the cupboard. I used the remaining amount to buy one sack of maize flour, other foodstuffs like rice and decent clothes for my family.
