How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan was to change my leaking thatched roof to iron sheets roof. But I never had the money to accomplish my plan. My income was very low. And I will had cut Palm for people just to get money to support my family, but still that wasn't enough to build a house. Because the house I'm living in right now has leakage all over the roof, but I am very much happy that I was enrolled on this program. Because with the support from givedirectly I have now build another house with iron sheets roof in my village. Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done very well in my life and that of our village, givedirectly has empower our village with financial support. Givedirectly has changed our entire village with so many new houses, my children where all out of school due to low incomes, with the support from givedirectly my children are all healthy and in school. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been living in tech house since i was born up to present. I always wanted to build a house for my family. I want to open a provision shop for my wife to manage in the future. I want to go back to school and leave farming work. Givedirectly has done so much for me especially in my daily life. My son's will be traveling to Buchanan to attend the community college after their high school graduation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has been good to me. They give me money without any cost attached. The only wrong i have seen with Givedirectly, is the mobile money center is far from us. Most of the transfer goes behind transportation and with the MoMo agents. The good news is that Givedirectly has changed my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought additional zinc,a bag of rice and six bags of cement. I want to plaster my house and got some sand to put floor and tied in my house. The balance money from the transfer will be used to pay for the workmanship.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting with friends in the community that morning, when i received a massage from Givedirectly. I quickly ran up the hill where we usually get network from. I checked the text to my suprise Givedirectly send $40375 in my mobile money account. I was very happy! And i started to shout sing and dance. In my entire life i has never received huge amount of money before. To live in the interior is a easy thing. Plant plantain, cassava, rice, and repper for survival.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My wife and I can now have a comfortable sleep at night even at day time. Before to get money was very hard. I couldn't even get close to what Givedirectly has given me. My house is completely damaged so my children and i have to share the fix room. I have been praying greatly for God to answer my prayers and he did. Before this program can come to an end, my family will be living a different live.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bough zinc and materials. My entire roof is falling on us thank God that Givedirectly came right in town. I bought planks and cut some stakes to change the roof. The balance was used to pay workmanship and provide food for the workers. I also bough mattress to sleep comfortable.
