How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always considered the first few months of the year as hunger season because this is usually when I struggle the most to make ends meet. This time around it is a whole different story as I have food in abundance in the house, my children and I have clothes and beddings and are anticipating a nice house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is a very good organization because it helps the poorest and in need communities get things that they could previously only imagine.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I live in a grass thatched how with no descent sleeping space for me and my children. When I got the transfer, I bought construction materials including iron sheets, bricks, doors, windows, and used a portion to pay for transportation of the items as I bought them very far from the village. I have set aside all of these items in readiness of building myself a descent house when I find the funds to cover labor costs.

Well i managed to buy ron sheets to finish roofing my house. In addition I bought 6 bags of maize for consumption to take my family through this period. Ontop of this I used part of the transfer to buy clothes, mattress and fertilizer.
