Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The cash transfer has brought so much joy into my life. I am very delighted that with the cash transfer I will plaster and cement the house. Previously, the house had spent over 3 years without completion. It was not that comfortable and habitable. However, I am very glad that the cash transfers were sent at the right time when we needed financial support to complete the house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The cash transfer was sent to me around 06:00am. I was breastfeeding my child at that moment when the phone vibrated. I was overjoyed when I read the mobile money message. I praised the Almighty God for sending GiveDirectly to my aid.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to purchase house hold items such as a big 4x6 wooden bed worth UGX 240000 and bedsheets worth UGX 30000 and a solar panel plus battery worth UGX 250000. I also purchased construction materials such as 8 bags of cement worth UGX 224000, two trips of sand worth UGX 340000 and window glasses worth UGX 20000. I am planning to spend the balance on purchasing other construction materials to complete the renovation of the house.

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after eating lunch and completing more I get household chores. I am happy for the protection that the Lord has offered to me for that day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my daily life is lack of enough land in order to cultivate crops g my family. The food I harvest from the small plot of land is not enough to sustain my household needs. I will have to intercrop in order to try to get what I sufficient for the household.
