Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I have a new goal to construct a new house in the newly bought land. I have a plan to move with my family to the new land which will open up the small piece of land to be used by my siblings.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before receiving the money from GoveDirectly, I used to depend on leased pieces of land since mine is so small. This was very expensive and at times the crops planted there would fail to perform. Land preparation was also very expensive since it all came with the strict regulations a from the owner who would specify the type of machinery allowed in his land. This at the moment has really changed since I bought my own. Decisions on how to use the land are now upon me, something which has really registered a big difference in my daily life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the availability of woods and other construction materials, I expect to compete the construction on the new piece of land and if some money will still be available, I will consider starting livestock farming.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on building a new house since the one we are living in is too small for us.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in life is inability to build a new house due to lack of enough money. Since I know that I will get money from GiveDirectly, I feel my dreams will soon be fulfilled.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening since it is the time I am with my family and I feel good seeing them happy as we chat how our day was.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The greatest achievement that I am proud of is the fact that I have managed to increase the size of land under cultivation. Initially I used to plant maize and beans on one acre of land and now I plant 2.25 acres. I managed to increase the size of land working as a casual labourer and that is what makes me proud.
