What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first Installment we plan to buy matress for our kids , cooking pots, plates and food. We also plan to buy livestocks , we will buy 2 goats for $80 and a pig for $50 and the balance we will use it cleaning our house and doing some renovation. The second installment we plan to buy a cow for $350 and buy clothes , school materials for our children and the balance we plan to save it and use it in our house expenses. Receiving this money means having a change in our lives because it will help us own livestocks that will provide fertiliser and our land will be fertile giving us enough to eat and to sell , our lives will be better for good with this money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Recently there has been an increase in our maize harvest , before we used to harvest 20 kilograms of maize but now we have been able to harvest a whole bag of 100 kilograms and this has brought happiness to us; We plan to sell it and bring us more income. And the money will help us rent another land and start cultivating potatoes. Another happy event that happened to us is that our elder daughter Antoinette has well performed in school and we are very proud about it.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Not having enough land of our own is our greatest challenge because the little money get from the small business we have we use it renting land to cultivate. Another challenge we are currently facing now is that the weather is bad for our crops , we have have been in a sunny season for about 3 months and this is affecting our harvest in this period. Another challenge we are currently facing is that we don't have easy access to enough fertiliser either Organic or inorganic, we currently don't have any livestock we have to buy fertiliser from others and because of our little economy we can't get enough money to buy both Organic and inorganic , we have to choose or balance them which is not enough for our land.
