What did you spend your third transfer on?
I had bought building materials using part of my second transfer to build a new house. Traditions had it that I had to build a new house given that my husband passed on in my old house. So, when I received my third transfer, I built the new house. The remaining I spent on paying school fees for my son in secondary school. He was not sent out of school for lack of school fees. He does not have any arrears either this whole year. Thank you.

I spent my second transfer on paying 10,000 KES school fee for my child in high school, bought building materials at 30,000 KES then bought a cow at 10,000 KES after adding some of my money to the rest of the cash.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer work for other people to get money for my child's school fee and am also hopeful of milking my own cow in the near future.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying school fee for my daughter who is in form two. Raising school has always been a challenge since the daughter got admitted in secondary school. She spends most of her time out of school helping me in raising her the school fee. Other than that, I purchased a sac of maize to feed the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received my transfer!! We had spent so many days without food to an extent that some of my children had started becoming malnourished. I was happy that their lives could be restored back to normal again.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My first plan is to use part of the transfer to pay school fees for my child, who will be joining form two next year. Secondly, I plan to use another part of the transfer, to build a new house, because this one is in a bad condition. Finally, I intend to use the remaining amount to cultivate maize, for food security for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Having educated my two daughters up to form four, with savings from my small business that I used to do, is the achievement I'm proudest of.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Due to inadequate income, the biggest hardship I have faced is, providing food for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings, when I'm together with my family, sharing stories.
