What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my most recent transfers on purchasing zinc, planks and nails for my hkuse project. I'm also hiring contractors to do the work so I'm reserving some of the money to pay them after the project is completed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does so many things well. They have equipped us with funds to build our houses, start our businesses, make farms, pay our children's school fees and do many other things. Our lives have been changed completed from the GiveDirectly project. There is nothing I know they don't do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My only goal remains to build my house, a well designed concrete house with zinc roof. I have been in this thatch house for over 5 years and that needs to change now.

I purchased two bundles of zinc to build my house. I also used some of the transfer to purchase cocoa seedlings for my farm. My target is 2,250 seedlings.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done extremely well for our community. Givedirectly has brought infrastructure development to our community. We use the transfer to build our houses and establish our farms.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I never had the plan to build block house and establish cocoa farm. I was excited when I received my transfer. Upon receipt of my transfer, I decided to build concrete house and establish a cocoa farm. My plan is to establish five acres of cocoa farm.

What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent transferred to expand my Cocoa farm. I hire more men to help me brush and clear the land. Also, I paid my kids tuitions and I'm so happy because I was able to accomplished all of these with the help of GiveDirectly financial assistance that was sent to me.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has improved greatly since I started receiving transfer fund from GiveDirectly. I have been struggling for so long to provide my family basic needs. I plant local crops such as Rice, Cassava and Bitter boy to earned my livelihood. Now that GiveDirectly has started sending me transferred my life will be better. The investment I made in my Farm will provide me with more reliable income. With this income my kids will have a better education and my family long term suffering will be minimize.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am a farmer and I struggle everyday to provide my family basic needs. I get my livelihood from planting Cassava, Rice, plantain and Cocoa. I was so happy when I received my money from GiveDirectly. I was happy because, I wanted to expand my Cocoa farm, But due to lack of finance I could not hire more people to assist me to brushed and clear the land. Also, I wanted to buy more seeds. Furthermore, my kids where out of school due to lack of finance ,this situation really got me confused and worried.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenges is food. My children's school fees is not paid. So this is a great challenge for my family and i.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The thing that brought joy to me in the last six months was when the government supply us food ( 50 kilos of rice, 1 gallon of argo oil and 25 kilos of beans) , it brought great relief to me and my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will use this money to plant life trees which will be a great benefi for my children in the future. I will also use some of the money to build house for my family and i. The money will also be use to settle my children's school fees.
