How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I have constructed an Iron roofed house for my self. I used to sleep in a leaking grass thatched house. Am now very happy and confortable in my new house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give me unconditional cash that I have spent to improve my home. There is nothing they are not doing well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for paying labour of UGX 100,000, a debt of UGX 400,000. I purchased construction materials at UGX 536,000, a cow at UGX 440,000 and I saved UGX 157,000.

The biggest difference in my daily life is better health because this money helped me get proper treatment.

The moment I received my money, I felt happy and thanked God for this blessing.

I spent my first transfer to buy two doors for my house, bought other building materials to put a veranda, a goat, and bed sheets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to build a permanent iron-roofed house. I have a house under construction, so this transfers will enable me complete it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening. This is a time I enjoy listening to interesting stories from my grandchildren.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is sickness. I have ulcers and they are costly to treat. Also this ulcers are not allowing me engage in to vigorous work.
