What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successfully enrolled in to Give Directly's cash transfer program, I want to used some of the money to pay my children school fees. The reason I want to pay my children fees is that, I feel that when they are educated, they will become a great help to our family, especially during our old age my husband and myself. I also want to establish business with the balance money to enable us feed our home and also get the needs of my children as they go to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy or happiness in the last six months is when I saw Give Directly people entering our town this morning, knowing that they are always helping people inorder for them to help themselves. For the past times, we have heard about them working in other nearby communities, but they haven't come to us which we have all been praying for, so seeing them in our town this morning brought me so much Joy or happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
There are lots of challenges that my family is currently facing but most of it all is the lack of Money. The only source of income for our family is through cassava farming but the money earned from the cassava sale and that of the fufu isn't enough to cover the needs of our family, especially feeding and paying the children school fees. Even this house where we lived is yet to be completed but due to the lack of money, my husband and I haven't been able to fully complete our house.
