My recent transfer came as I was having school fees arrears and I was unfortunate to have sent kshs 300 to a wrong number as I was sending my eldest child her pocket money ,I was unable to reverse the amount even though I still sent her another kes 300.I paid kes 1500 as part of schoolfees for my other 3 children and bought food with the remaining kes 900.

I honestly do not see anything that you are not doing well. How can someone give you money and you say that they are not doing well! The best thing you are doing is sending us unconditional transfers through Mpesa. Its even great that you usually send it to us directly without using third parties. There is nothing to improve. I just urge you to continue with the same spirit.

Both transfers came in at times when I had no money. I used to sell charcoal locally so as to earn a living, but I fell sick and had to close down my business. When I received the first transfer, I used it to buy 6 packets of 2kg maize worth kshs 600 and soap worth kshs 50. I also paid school of kshs 500 for my 2 children who are in grade 7 and 3 respectively. I used the second transfer to buy 1 bale of 2kg maize flour at kshs 1440 and breakfast at kshs 60. I also gave my son who is in college kshs 500 for his upkeep and saved kshs 1000 for the school of my other 2 children in primary school. Thanks to Give Directly that I was able to comfortably pay fees for my two children and still put food on my table!

While I was doing me an everyday house at around 8 am, I heard a message on my phone upon checking I discovered that I had received the transfer. I felt very happy and eager to finish the house chores and call my husband to tell him about the good news. When I was done I told him about the good news and he also felt happy and we jointly rejoiced for receiving the transfer.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am living a more relaxed life now that I am sure that I have food in my house that is going to last me and my family for a couple of weeks to come. I am also satisfied that my children are back in school and continuing their education without any problems. These funds have helped me a lot and I am generally relieved that some of my bills have been settled.

 I spent about KSH 500 of the money on buying food. I prioritized buying food due to the living conditions we are living in now as a family. The climatic conditions of our area have greatly changed from better to worse over the years. Our farms are no longer productive like they were before. Food has become very hard to find and also very expensive. With these challenges, I had to prioritize buying food for my family. I also spent another KSH 500 on paying school fees for my child who was on the verge of being sent home because of school fees arrears. In addition to food and school fees, I also spent KSH 200 as savings in my Chama. The Chama has greatly helped me in times of need and through it, I can be able to request loans and at the end of the year, I use my savings in sorting out needs in my family.
