I used a portion of the transfer to pay my daughter in collage. I bought a bull for farming activities. I cemented the floor of my house because it was earth.Bought a chair. I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my children are in school. This relieved me from roaming around in frustration in search for fee. I tell you, now their performance has improved compared to the days when they used to stay home due to fee problems.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it follow-up on the welfare of their recipients. Even though GD help us all this much, it should continue supporting us by may be giving us some cash every end month.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on paying for computer packages course for my daughter who is yet to join a teachers training college later this year and also paying for my other children school fee. I then bought my daughter some of her college requirement. I then spent some on paying dowry for my daughter in laws hand because my son had not taken anything to our in laws as bride price. I then spent the rest on buying few new bedding for all of us since the ones that we had are very old and worn out.
