Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I have a new goal to venture into farming. This so far is the only easiest source of income. We still have a wider piece of land and all we have been doing is the casual labor in the nearby tea plantation. My savings has been growing out of my earning and this will boost me in improving my own farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Upon receiving the transfer from GiveDirectly, I have been able to do a lot which have really brought many of differences in our lives. The biggest difference in my daily life is the new house I constructed in our home. Initially I was living in a small grass thatched house which wasn't good since it's walls were already poked from outside and you could find a lot of holes. We were always afraid that crickets, rats and even snakes may crawl in through the crevices and the only thing we could do is to fit some rags in them. We are now grateful that we are living in a good house, warm and even spacious.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Alongside several projects I have been running, I have been working tooth and nail to ensure that my children go to school. Their school fees have been high but I am glad that in the next six months I expect a change since two of them will have completed their college studies. This sounds a relief for me since what I will be paying for the remaining few will not be as much as before.

In the next six months I would expect my life to have improved having a house and a cow. I will see myself in the same level with other villagers.

Currently I have milk and the money which I would have rather spend on buying milk I can now spend on buying other food stuff.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life was when my elder sister died one month ago, leaving behind her three children for me to take care of. This has not been easy since i have to struggle alot in order to cater for the needs of her children and mine too.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening, when i am back from work and enjoying time with my family. I always feel happy as i watch them play. This gives me more strength to work harder in order to ensure they never lack their needs.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on buying a piece of land which i will cultivate and plant tea.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement i am proudest of is my decision to plant tea in my farm. This has uplifted my living standard since i am able to provide basic needs for my family with ease, using the money i get after selling my harvest.
