How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have not developed a new goal because, farming had been my source of living until givedirectly came in to my life and give me money. I was always going around people begging to carry my children to the city because, i could not afford their support. Since Givedirectly came and give me the money, i was able to get my children back to support than with the money i received from givedirectly. I am now one of the happiest receipents in my community. I appreciate Givedirectly so much because, my family are now with me.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did well because my life had been stressful and with the money i received from givedirectly, my life is now better than before. The process was fairly done.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer was used for the balance construction materials, School fees and saved the balance money to pay the contractors.Thanks Givedirectly that my children are with me and hardships have reduced.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My plan was to change the roof over my house because my house is leaking.secondly I wanted to send my children to school,but I never had the opportunity to do that because of lack of money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give-directly do well by giving me transfer fund to enable me change the roof over my house.

I spend my recent transfer on buying zinc nails, and will pay my son school fees.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my neighboring village on a fast and prayers when I heard that givedirectly has sent them money, I quickly when to my village asking my friends if givedirectly has sent them money, abs and they said yes, I quickly run to the network areas to check if I have received mine, luckily for me I saw a huge amount of money in it, I was very much happy and rejoicing all over the village that day, I was happy I have received such of money for free without paying back, before than I used to farm the whole day just to get money to support my family. I'm a single mother living in my village with no support, to even get food for my family used to be very difficult for me. But I'm so thankful to GiveDirectly for coming in my village.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life now is my life has changed for the better, because I am now changing my leaking thatched roof with iron sheets roof, I never had the money to do all that. So I'm grateful to Givedirectly. My children are all healthy and eats twice a day.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I received my transfer I was able to buy 2 bundle of color zinc to change my leaking thatched roof. I also bought a big mattress to sleep on. The rest of the money I was able to buy enough foodstuff for my family. Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" I am a widow. My spouse died June 2021 and since then, i have not been able to renew the tatches over my house. Therefore when i get the transfer from GiveDirectly, I will change the entire tatch over my house to Zinc".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Over the past six month, my son who is a bike rider was able to raise money from the old bike he had and purchas a new one from which we are able to get a little amount of money to keep the family going. This has been our biggest achievement over the past six month and it has brought happiness to my family".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My spouse use to be the principal for Dowuen public school and that was the means through which my family was being fed. Since his death my major challenge has been getting money for the upkeep of my family".
