How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, I have a previous planned of building a new house and my plan still stands. Maybe as time goes by, I will other plans.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everything that is been done by GiveDirectly, is good. Because you have helped lots of people who are in need. We will forever remember the good things you are doing for our people.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 18 bag of cement, 1 bundle of zinc and other building materials for my new house. My father in-law give me a piece of land to build my house on and I have started brushing the site.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting with my friend when I received the message. I immediately left and ran to my wife to share the good news. She was so happy and we joined other community members in jubilation.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that I am about to be a house owner. Only the thought of this beings me joy.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 3 bundles of zinc to build house because my house got damaged and I've been squatting with my wife's mother. I rest of the money was given to my wife to start a business. She buys fish and sells in the community. I also bought one bag of rice and oil for feeding.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am currently renting in my in-laws house, if I am to be successful to receive the transfer I will try to build my own house and send my kid to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I have not really experience happiness in the past six months because of the continual health condition and living with my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Where I live right now is not in good condition and my daughter mostly get sick because of the sleeping condition. No money.
