I spent most of the second transfer to start a small scale business of selling fish, where by l am taking fish from rural area to urban area this has really improve my source of income. The remaining balance l spent to pay school fee my children who are in secondary school.

The biggest difference in my daily life, is that my life has really improve in-terms of income, right now l am able to pay school fee for my children without any problem and have basic needs easily from the business that l started with transfer.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paid 7,000 KES school fee for my two children in high school, then used the rest of the transfer to boost my chapati business. Am now relieved of stress due to school fees and my business is also beginning to take shape hence I no longer depend on borrowing to keep my business going.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have is paying school fees for my two children in high school. They perform very well and it is my wish that they go to university.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is always in the evening since it is the time I usually rest after finishing the day's work while planning for the next day.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I am going to build my own home and stop paying rent/living in the village market. It also means that I am going to expand my business and start taking fingerlings (omena) to markets in Mombasa and other parts of the country.
