How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have new goals that I didn't have before receiving this transfer. I'm planning on saving some of the transfer for the following year school fees for my kids.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy because I was facing financial problem. My kids were not registered for this academic year so when I received my money I was overwhelmed with so much joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been struggling with my kids school fees, some times am unable to register them on time. In the middle of the school year they put them out for school fees but since I started receiving transfer there's a big difference in my daily life. My kids are now register on time and they will stay in school until the year ends.

I spent portion of my transfer to pay some of my kids school fees and keeping the rest for the remaining kids tuition.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successfully enrolled in to Give Directly Cash transfer program and received money, I'm going to used the money to help my spouse in paying our children school fees and also used some to make business as that will help in settling some of our financial problems as a family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, I haven't experienced anything like happiness because I lost my beloved father to the cold hands of death. Even as we speak, it still bother me because he was another source of funding for my family and I, whenever my spouse dont have means of handling it due to him having another set of four wives.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
One of the greatest challenges that our family has been faced with of recent is finance, we make our cassava farm and, when it is ready for harvest, we harvest and make fufu to sell but as for this farming seasons, things are different because whenever we take our fufu to the market, it is not being purchased by customers.
Even as we speak, one of my daughters who is not staying with me here permently will be graduating from the Junior high and it will cost us money to have her sent to another school where she's going to begin her senior high studies, this alone has been a serious challenge for me.
