What did you spend your third transfer on?
We had one of our daughter who had done well in high school and joined the university so most of our last transfer to pay for her fees and any other thing that she would need in school.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on paying school fees for my two children who are in college and high school 16,000 KES, 20000 KES respectively. I bought a bag of maize 6,000 KES and other household expenditure 4,000 KES.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differences in my daily life are; I am happy seeing my children through there education and this year I have not carryout harambees to collecting money from loved ones with the intent of paying school fees arrears to my children since I am a casual farm labor and this occupation is not making a steady income to support my family's finances and expenditures . I also have enough food to feed on with my family members as a result my family is now living a healthier living standards.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent half of my first transfer to pay school fees for my son in secondary school whose payment was overdue. The rest of the money was spent on buying food and other daily household items.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received the money from GiveDirectly since I was beginning to get worried about where I would get money to pay school fees for my son.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We have planned to expand our house which is small,we will build a toilet,a kitchen and pay school fees for our child who is in high school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Our proudest achievement is that I took my eldest child to college and he has a certificate in forestry which makes me proud even though he is not yet employed.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is that I am not well and I have a growth that is supposed to be operated but because of lack of money I have to stay with the pain.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of our day is when we harvest our crops.
