How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been planning to build a new house for the passed years because I have been renting for long. Unfortunately for me, I got pregnant in 2017 and the pregnancy was tied on me untill 2019 before I was able to give birth. I have to sell all the zinc that I bought at that time to build my house. Fortunately, when GiveDirectly came into our village, I was enrolled on the program. I am so much happy right now. For now, my new goal is to achieve my previous dream of building myself a decent house that I have wished for before I became sick in 2017.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done very much well by reaching out to every deserving households in the town and determining their eligibility during the enrolment process. The only bad problem I have with GiveDirectly is that they do not except anything from anyone which I also admire them for. I makes me to truly believe that GiveDirectly is a trustworthy organization and I pray that it should continue with it's way of work.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through my recent transfer, I have been able to buy four bundles of zinc which a bundle cost $1,500.00LRD. The total for the four bundles of zinc cost $6,000.00LRD. Through the same transfer, I was able to spend $1,000.00LRD per a bundle of zinc on transportation. The total cost on transportation for the zinc I was able to spend $4,000.00LRD. I am also sawing planks for the roofing of my house and I am therefore charged $56,000.00LRD for the workmanship of the sawer.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am saving portion of my recent transfer to add to my last transfer to Saw my wood for the construction of my house. I am also sending portion of my recent transfer to my daughter for her school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well because they are helping me and my family to improve our life. As for me I have not seeing anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well.

I safe my third transfer and send some of it to my daughter for school fees.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goals is to buttress my previous transfer so i can be able to purchase zinc and others house materials. I'm paying for my various house materials bit by bit, by the end of this program all of my building materials will be complete.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Giving money free is good to me, because i was able to stand on that transfer to established myself a small business and pay new house rent. Nothing GD did that is bad, all is well and good from my end.

I was able to purchase zinc and others house materials for the construction of my house and also relocated with in the same community by paying new house rent.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my way going to get drinking water from the creek when I hear the voice from the town; everybody please check your phone GD People; to my optimal surprise my transfer was in my phone; I was very happy that entire days.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that ;getting such amount of money from GD will make me to make it in life.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was making business before but my business broke down because I got seriously sick, I was pregnant for two years and my skin started moving from on me and the carry me from place to place so I do not have money now, so if I am qualify for this program and i received any money from Givedirectly I am going to start my business again and support my children in school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months or in the last six months what had brought joy or happiness to me is seen myself alive, because I was very sick at the point of death but seen myself alive today I'm over joy and the second one is about the great help that Givedirectly is about to do for me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As I said I was making business before, but my business broke down because of my illnesses so my current challenge right is money problem.
