What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second money, I was able to purchase two mattresses, three pairs of bedsheets to improve on my living conditions worth 210,000Ugx, paid off debts worth 920,000Ugx and hired land for cultivation worth 500,000Ugx in order to improve on food security.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has supported us in giving unconditional cash transfers that have improved on the living conditions of households. I have not noticed the bad part or what it does not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving Give Directly money, I was sickly and could have died faster but now my health has improved.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying a bed, matress, kitchen utensils and food. I have the balance of 400,000UGX which i intend to use for getting land.

The moment i received money i felt so happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that now days i sleep well on a good matress and bed. My nights have become confortable because black ants don't bite me. Am able to afford food every day and i dress well.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of enough land to enable my household carry out crop growing, which crops after I have harvested can help my household with food and energy for making bricks for sale
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when all my children and wife have eaten and, the children are happy and playing within the compound

Receiving this money means a new piece of land for my household to carry out farming
