Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received I was very happy and we are still celebrating.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that now we can afford the basic needs and still have something to make big plans with.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the transfers on transport to travel back home after making the withdraw. I bought a matres, and got bricks made so that we can extend the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this gift has brought so much joy in my family. There are times that I wake up not knowing where to get food to feed my family so this gift is an answer to all my problems. I will use it to fix my house and buy enough food and fertilizer because no matter how hard I work I still cultivate less because of lack of fertilizer so this time around I will buy fertilizer and I believe I will so better in terms of food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning because I feel good for seeing a new day. I am always grateful and always hopping that business will be better.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I face my biggest hardship almost every day. The hardship is that my business does not do so well at all. I sell second hand clothes, rhe capital is very small and with the COVID pandemic business is just not doing well at all.
