Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was early in the morning, and I was sweeping the yard outside my house. I saw the message alerting me of the funds in my account and was overjoyed. Immediately went in the house to tell my husband the good news and then we began planning what to do with the transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
There has not been a real difference to my daily routine. I am just much happier and my house looks more like a home with the amount of things we bought for ourselves. A nicer bed, nicer clothes, more food and we are expanding our house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on a mattress, some clothes and fixing my house

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am grateful for being considered in this program. The transfer will be of great benefit to me. I will buy iron sheets in readiness of renovating my house. I also intend to buy beddings. My beddings are not nice. I also plan to add some bags of maize and fertilizers.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy during harvest season.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge is fertilizer. We usually lack money to buy fertilizer and some other farm inputs.
