How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life would have been very difficult if I did not receive these transfers. This is because most families do not have food in February but now we all have food. I have also managed to pay school fees for my children something which I could not have done if I did not receive the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The organisation did a very good job and we thank God that we were a part of this program. Most of the families in my village have food and we are all happy that GiveDirectly gave us these transfers.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy cement, window frames and doors frames because I want to fix my house so that it can be a nice house. I used some of the money to buy bags of maize so that my family should have enough food.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was an amazing moment full of laughter and joy. As a household we were and we are still proud of givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that since the time i got this transfer i have not gone to seek and do piece works in other people's gardens. As a result i concentrated on my maize field and this year iam hopeful that i will harvest enough maize for consumption.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 6 bags of cement, 3 bags of fertilizer and i also managed to pay school fees for my son who is in form 3. This transfer has made my family proud. When i get the final transfer i will start renovating my house.
