How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am planning to build my house which before the transfer was just a worry not a plan, a worry that "how will I rebuild my house". Now that I have the transfers, I have started setting things up to build my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The transfer mode is good. There is less to complain about it. Unlike other programs, I didn't have problems getting my transfers. The only challenge is that commodity prices have soared, the transfers are failing to meet the intended plans.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have planned to rebuild my house which fell because of Cyclone Ana. The first transfer, I used it for brick making. I have the bricks ready, the builders have already been consulted. I am just waiting for the proper time to start, and, also, the weather - there have been changes in the weather, it sometimes rains. I will use the second transfer to pay the builders to erect the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I would use the money to renovate my house with these circumstances. I would also use the money to buy food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
We have a few livestock at our home. In these past few months we were able to sell one of our livestock and the money that we got made us happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge that I am facing right now is hunger. Most of our crops were washed away with the cyclone.
