What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 25,000 KES of my second transfer to buy a dairy cow . I constructed a beautiful decent sleeping room for my children hence they no longer get exposed to smoke and heat like the used to when the only option was to sleep in the kitchen which made me worry of their health after a long expose . I am at peace because I am certain of their health's safety after building this house . The remaining amount I bought clothing and food for my family's consumption .
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion , GiveDirectly did well by selectively giving money to the poorest members in my community which had no conditions and was non - refundable . As a result , the beneficiaries invested wisely more on what they lacked such as building new house, paying school fees for their children and not forgetting to venture in small business.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am glad about the life-changing opportunity that GiveDirectly made me realize at my unexpected point of need. It takes courage and hope to face life as a widow and truly speaking GiveDirectly motivated me in that, I learned to be positive in life even when there is no hope since one will never notice when it knocks. I now own a dairy cow that has already given birth to a calf hence we are getting five liters of milk in a day. I can proudly say that I no longer buy milk but rather my children are able to drink milk on a daily basis from our own cow.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I thought that I would never receive the money because others had already received theirs a months ago, but when I received the money,I thanked God because GD are such honest people.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I now have more freedom because my children have a separate house to sleep. My house is very tiny and we were never comfortable in it. My children are now well fed and very soon,I will be milking my own cow which will mean savings on my daily budget.
