What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to complete building my iron sheet roofed house especially plastering, paid school fees and bought a few more household items like bed-sheets and clothes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well giving us money to build iron sheet roofed houses, pay school fees for children, pay existing debts, it gave us phones for communication and this has uplifted people's livelihood in the village; there's nothing it hasn't done well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because i am happy, am able to communicate with my relatives, and I have peace of mind, unlike before.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first cash transfer worth 1,700,000ugx, I paid tuition worth 150,000ugx for my children. The balance of 1,550,000ugx, I have used for buying building materials like bricks, iron sheets, cement and timber towards the construction of my house.

The moment I received my first cash transfer, I felt happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I am a happy person after receiving such a big a mount of money. Before I received my first cash transfer, getting 1,000ugx was very difficult for us as a household.

My biggest hardship is that I have ulcers that normally gives me hard time.

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after I have had lunch.

Receiving this money means I will build a residential iron roofed house and paying school fees for my children.
