How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My desire was to complete my house project and move in with my family. This has been my major goal for sometimes now. Nonetheless, I could not achieve my dreams due to very limited finances. Therefore, when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought enough building materials (zinc, planks, nails, cement etc..) to complete my house project. Furthermore, my balance transfer will be used to buy food and also expand my farm.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have been going through some tough times until GD intervened through direct cash transfers. These transfers has affected my life positively. Sometimes it seems unreal for me to have received such amount of money as goodwill. I am very delighted to be part of this program. Finally I do not see anything that GiveDirectly has done wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was in dire need of finances to complete my house project and move in with my family. Additionally, I also needed money to expand my farm and purchase enough food for my home. Hence, I used portion of my transfer to buy 2 bundles of zinc ($21,000LD) to roof my house. Likewise, part of my transfer was used to purchase 1 bag of rice (50kg) for my house. My balance transfer will be used to pay workers expand my farmland. I am so fortunate to have benefited from this program.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My news goal for this my second transfer from GiveDirectly,I'm about to complete my house with it.
I'm even going to get some stick from the bush that i will add on the plank that i bought.
I'm also thinking about starting a small business that will help me after this programs.
I even bought additional fews more bundles of zinc to added on the one that i bought first.
I'm going to paid all my children schools feel for this academic year.
I even bought all of their Christmas clothes and new years also.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion GiveDirectly has done great things for me and my family.
I'm very thankful to GiveDirectly for their support towards me as poor person.
I just love GiveDirectly way of working in the country.
I was really finding it very difficult in providing for my family.
GiveDirectly came into my life with a great changes.
I'm going now able to get a new house with zinc over the roof.
GiveDirectly is the only NGO that is really transparent in theirs work.

I spent my most recent transfer on my house and my children.
I'm going to paid some guys that will help me cut some stick from the bush.
I even paid the power saw man that is sawing my planks in the bush.
I also paid for all of my children schools feel in full .
I bought some material for the house, for this Christmas and new years season.
I'm going to paid for fews bags of cement to put floor in my house.
I even going to get some material for myself too.
I'm hoping for my second transfer so that i can end my house project.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was home when I heard some people happily coming down from were we usually check our phone network.
I hurried and ran up the hill and checked my phone. I was very excited when I received my money on my phone. Since in my life, I haven't receiving this kind of assistance from any body especially NGO.With this money, my life has started changing.We can now get a breakfast and dinner regularly. Thanks to Givedirectly for making my life better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Through the transfer, I can now sleep with out any worry about my house leaking or even cutting thatch like before. The pass years before Givedirectly came in my community, I really been struggling with my life. I am now stress free and one of the happiest man in my community.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my transfer on three (3 ) bundles of zinc to build a new house and brought few house materials like mattress and dishes for my family use. I been suffering for so many years before I encountered Givedirectly. My life now is better because getting my family living has been a challenge. Thanks to Givedirectly for coming in to my life.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was a student but because of the difficulties I had to move on this village to hustle, through my hustle I have now turn to a father who need to feed his family. My stay here in this village is a challenge for me. I live in my father house with my girlfriend and son;presently my girlfriend is pregnant. Her request to me every time is for me to build our own house. But how?no money no job only farming and cutting palm we survived on. Today Give Directly coming to me is a clear evidence that my house will be built and I will be called a house owner.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Many things happen but all don't bring joy to me.I was promise two months ago by my uncle that he will get me a brand new bike, I was happy but it never came to fulfilment. Today Give Directly have come with another promise;I am happy and over joy because I am sure that this money will surely come to me. This will not be a lie, but a strong assurance.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The current challenge or challenges I am faced with now is my every day hustle. Cutting palm,setting off traps and so many others but above all it all bows down to looking for money. If I had money I really want to move near the road to have access to so many good good things. I believe that Give Directly can help me over come some of these challenges.
