"If I am successful to receive the cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will start up a business. The business I intend to establish is selling building materials. Where I want to establish this business is at the DC Clark junction. I have chosen this kind of business because there is no such business around and because of this people have to go Tubmanburg, Bomi County to buy those materials. By bringing one here, many people won't have to go far distances anymore to purchase building materials and I will make a lot of profit to sustain my family and also do other things."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"The safe delivery of my child last month brought joy and happiness to my life. It was by the grace of God because there isn't any clinic around our town so we had to carry her Klay for delivery; C-section was the only alternative and it was performed safely and successfully. This moment brought joy and happiness to my life."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is finance.
Burning wood into fire coal is what I do to feed my family. There isn't much money yield from this; I can't afford to send my children to school.
I have 2 children and none has ever to school before; all they do is farm work. This doesn't make me feel happy but my options are limited.
