Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the happiness I feel having managed to secure three large pieces of farm land that I will cultivate on both commercially and subsistencely. When my harvest is sold off, I will then be able to support my family financial needs. Prior to getting this transfer, I had to do casual labor to raise money to cater for some family needs.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy that I knew that poverty was out of question for me. This is because I was able to hire farm land that I will cultivate on and support my family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to hire three pieces of farm land at Ugx 450000.
I then bought twenty pieces of iron sheets at Ugx 800000.
I then gave Ugx 150000 to my wife.
I bought some house hold items such as bed, and mattress at Ugx 200000.
I then spent the balance to run errands in my home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house.
The one that I have is grass thatched which leaks and the fact that grass is scarce these days makes it hard to maintain.
When it rains at night, I have no option but to stand because the whole roof leaks.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I have been able to provide for my family especially when everyone has eatten and is satisfied.
It gives me courage to plan for the next day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is inadequacy of land for cultivation.
The piece of land that my parents gave me as my share is not enough to sustain my household.
I am not able to cultivate as I would really wish to due to limitations of space.
Some times I have had to do casual labour so as to raise money that can enable me to hire atleast a garden.
This is very costly for me because in the first place, the source of income is not clear and yet I have to provide for the household.
