How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is one major new goal I have decided to focus on for this new transfer. My new goal is to hire contractors to start roofing my house with decent 14gage white color zinc . Due to the heavy downpour of rain, my dwelling house is leaking seriously .Thanks to Givedirectly for empowering me financially. I believe that with my transfer from Givedirectly, My dreamed to build decent house to relocate will soon come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is really doing well for us in this village. Givedirectly distributed phones to everyone in this village. Givedirectly staffs do not accept gifts from community members. Givedirectly was able to empowered everyone in this village financially to start taking care of their basic needs. Thanks to Givedirectly for the cash support. There is no system in GiveDirectly that needs improvement.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
My greatest desire was to make cocoa farm and also pay my children tuition. I was at home early that morning when I heard my neighbours shouting. I quickly ran under the big tree in Goyah's town where we normally receive network to make calls and also check our phones for messages. In doing so, I was so delighted having received my transfer from GiveDirectly. I stopped everything I was doing and left for Buchanan to withdraw my money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
With GiveDirectly's transfer, I will be able to pay my children tuition for this academic year 2021/2022. Additionally, I will also be able to establish my cocoa farm which will provide an additional source of income even after GD shall have left our town. Paying my sons tuition in time and establishing my cocoa farm has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly. I am so pleased with this program because my dreams wouldn't have come to reality without GiveDirectly's financial assistance.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Sending my children to school and establishing my cocoa farm have been two of my primary objectives. Thus, when I withdraw my transfer, I will pay $19,000 Liberian dollars as registration and first installment payment for my two sons Bill Touray (4th grade) and Kelvin Gorwor (10th grade). The balance money will be used to pay contractors to clear a parcel of land for my cocoa farm. This farm will provide income within the next few years after GD shall have left our town.
