How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I have been able to adopt good farming practices. As a result of this, I am hopeful of a good harvest which will last us till the next harvesting season. I will also sell part of it in order to get money to use in achieving my goal of building myself a house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to start buying some building materials to use in building myself a house. I have been able to buy a plot and I am aiming at building myself a house so that I can stop living with my parents.

In the next six months, my life will have changed in that I will have started building my self a house. I will be buying the materials needed in bits every month using my transfers. This has always been my dream since I am a single parent and I still live with my parents.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goals is to buy building materials to build my own house since we are now staying with my parents. I and my children are still staying with my parents and wish to build my own house when I clear fee for my child who is completing his forth form this year.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently my child is not being sent home since I was able to clear school fees on time. Unlike before I receive the transfer my child use to be sent home for fees and would spent a couple of days before I get the money to pay the school fee.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship was last year when the price of a kilo of unga rose to ksh 200. That moment was really challenging since I had no money and my family fully rely on me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I have woken up well and I have nothing troubling me. This gives me joy to handle my daily task peacefully.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on building a two-roomed mud house. This will help me settle my family since I am single. Later if there will be some money left I will buy a cow.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Educating my daughter who is in form four until this point has been my biggest achievement. I have had to do it through thick and thin since am unemployed and fully rely on casual jobs to get her fees. That to me is the biggest achievement.
