How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, I have planned to build a new house with my second payment. My current house is small, I therefore want to increase my space for my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
It is a good thing Givedirectly doing to give us money to help ourselves. It is my first time seeing NGO doing such in my life, the pieces of advice they often give us is also commendable. I haven't seen anything they are doing bad.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I will use this second transfer on my house materials. I've planned to buy four bundles of zinc and 7 packs of nails to start my project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My wife and I used to burned coal and make farm to send our children to school but due to my illness I cannot make farm or burn coal anymore. The little money we earned from the farm and the coal we burned, we spent some behind my illness and pay some of our children school fees. I'm not doing anything now to earn money that will maintain my family. My neighbours also help me at time with food and little amount of money which cannot solve all of our problems. If I receive this money, I will pay my children school fees and put my wife in to business that will help us sustained the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Getting money to maintain my family worries me a lot. People petty our condition at time and help us with food and money to maintain the family. At time I feel so ashamed asking people before I can provide for my family. I'm not happy at all my condition. For that reason nothing makes me happy for the last six months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Burning coal and making farm was the main source of income for my family but since I took sick, I spent half of the money behind my illness. And when I recover, I decided to burn coal in order to provide for my family but I don't have the means of getting money to burn the coal.
