Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The improved lifestyle in my house in form of quality household items (bed, mattresses, utensils, clothing, solar ) that I bought is the biggest difference in my daily life. Prior to getting this money, I could not afford the above as my family used to share everything (mattress, utensils) because my family out numbered what I had. In addition to this, I am delighted as I was able to acquire another bull that I will pair up with the already existing one to help in the issue of timely farming / ploughing. Hence timely and improved food production. Before getting this transfer, I only had one bull and convincing another person to pair up the ox was a hustle. This led to late/delays in farming and later having poor yields.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt extremely happy. This is because I had also benefited from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer Ugx 558000 to buy some household items such as a bed, two mattresses, solar, three bed sheets, clothes, utensils (plates, cups, dishes, source pans). I then bought a bull at Ugx 860000. I paid fees for my children Ugx 48000. I am saving up some money that will help me in terms of any arising issue.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will buy cattle and start a livestock raising business. This business will help sustain our family by catering for our basic needs like school fees, medical care and proper feeding.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon after the day's chores. Its the time I get to relax and share with the family meals and chat together.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is lack of money to cater for our household's basic needs like paying school fees because I have children in school and its not easy to promptly pay their dues.
