What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my last transfer to buy a dairy cow that cost me 28000 KES, I now milk and sell the milk . I am able to sustain my family comfortably now. Using 6000 KES,I bought two goats that I want to rear and enlarge my cow shed and the remaining to buy daily food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed being that my hair dressing business is now well stocked and I now attend to more customers, and that means an extra Income too. Without the transfer my life could have never been this good. I can confidently say that my life has changed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my honest opinion, what GiveDirectly did well was to give cash to the extreme poor, and to make matters best, it was unconditional. So far I have not seen anything that they did not do well.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My plan with the transfer is to start up a hair dressing business in our nearest market by buying equipment since I'm a trained hairdresser. This way I will be able to make extra money to help me cater for my family,I also intend to pay school fees for my children and lastly use the remaining amount to buy food for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of was when I saved some cash and bought one cow which is now big. This was during the Christmas season when normally I receive alot of clients in the salon.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is on paying school fees for my children, most of the time they are sent home due to fees arrears. This means they miss out on most of the learning at school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I'm attending to clients in my salon even though I have no structure yet and serve them under a tree.
