What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very excited and grateful to receive this money from Give Directly because i believe i will now live a better life than i used to. I will use the money to buy a few bags of maize for food as i only have 1 bag left in the house. I was very worried about where i was going to find money to buy more maize before rainy season starts. I am now at peace knowing that i am fully covered up to the next harvesting season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning because that is when i usually have my first meal of the day. I prefer to eat breakfast because it gives me energy to use for the whole day. I sometimes skip lunch because i am always busy but i cant afford to miss breakfast
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I face hunger every year and this is a problem which we do not even know if it will end. The main reason for this is because we do not have enough land to plant our crops as such the harvests is always little. The only alternative we have is fishing which has also been reduced due to unavailability of fish in the lake.
