How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received cash transfers in that, I have self esteem now compared to the life before. I even generate daily income through boda boda business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well by giving unconditional support to the poor. To me, I think Give Directly needs to do an assesment for households that have not completed their plans such that, they make their dreams come true.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I used it for paying a debt of 1,000,000ugx that I had borrowed for buying a motor cycle. The balance of 633,000ugx I used for completing payment of a plot of land where I have built my home.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that am happy than before because i own a motorcycle which is going to ease transportation.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer i felt so happy and i just told God thank you in a prayer.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying a second hand bajaj motorcycle. Its meant to ease transport in my home especially for taking my family members to hospital in case any one falls sick.

My biggest hardship is lack of money to buy a new piece of land for settlement.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evening is my happiest part of the day.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying a plot of land for settlement. I intend to buy a piece of land that, i will establish a new home since the current piece of land that i am staying usually floods whenever it rains.
