How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I received the second transfer, I used KES 7000 to start a small business of selling household commodities such as Sugar, salt and flour. This was informed by the fact that currently I am the breadwinner in my family having had my husband get hurt in an accident that happened in a construction site. These commodities are selling and I now have a new goal. The goal is to build a small shop where I will be selling these commodities from. I plan to do this with proceeds from Mery go round contribution. I currently use money received from the sales and from the ale of milk to make the Mery go round contributions. I hope to achieve this soon and help my husband in his journey to full tree ceovery.

My life is different now because I have managed to build a decent kitchen house for my family using my transfer, unlike before where we were forced to cook outside the house. I then bought other household items which I didn't have like foodstuffs. My husband's health has improved because he went for specialized treatment, I am so happy and thankful that I was able to accomplish my goal within a short period, I am grateful that GiveDirectly has lifted my living standard to a better and higher level in my society.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
The moment I received my transfer I knew that I will be able to accomplish all that I had planned, I, therefore, built a kitchen house using KES 30,000, I can proudly say that I now have a spacious kitchen I can comfortably cook in there, I was unable to construct one due to financial constraints. I then used KES 20,000 on my husband medication, this is because my husband was involved in an accident recently, lastly, I used the remaining part of the transfer in buying foodstuffs. I am happy that the transfer has changed our living status, I am grateful for the support.
