How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because am generally happy having constructed an iron roofed house. The future is brighter now, am thinking of other developments because the house issue is sorted. Before, I was sleeping in a grass thatched house with many rats that destroyed the food and the grass thatch leaving the roof leaking. I did not have hope of constructing an Iron roof house at this early age of mine but GiveDirectly has made way.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to follow up the trustee helper cases after receiving the transfers. This has reduced the rate at which helpers and trustees defraud recipients. They also do well to handle the registration problems in time which enables those affected get their transfers in time. I haven't seen any thing they have done bad , every thing is good so far.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying construction materials that I used for completing the construction of my iron roofed house. These materials include; 22 iron sheets, nails, timber, ceiling wires. I also bought a mattress and the balance I spent for purchasing food.
